Consultations
In addition to providing support for mental health and wellness, the Counseling Center’s Clinical Resources and Intervention Services (CRIS) can also be a valuable resource for students who want to explore their relationship with gambling, disordered eating, and other addictive behaviors. CRIS offers a confidential and supportive environment for students to better understand these concerns and take steps toward healthier coping strategies.
Individual Counseling
Individual counseling provides students with a one-on-one space to explore challenges, build coping strategies, and work toward personal goals in a supportive and confidential setting. Our licensed and certified clinicians specialize in addressing a wide range of concerns, including:
- Substance use and addiction
- Anxiety, stress, and depression
- Disordered eating and recovery support
- Relationship or family issues
- Low self-esteem and identity concerns
- Indecision or lack of motivation
Through individualized treatment planning, students receive care that meets their unique needs. Whether you’re seeking support for a specific issue or looking for guidance in your recovery journey, our clinical team is here to help.
Drug Testing
Drug testing is a service we provide for student clients and is conducted in-house in a confidential setting. It is a required component of some of our mandated programs but is also available as a voluntary service for students or families seeking testing for accountability purposes. Each test costs $25 and is billed directly to the student’s account — we do not accept insurance or collect payment at the office for this service.
We also partner with other campus departments and organizations to provide drug testing for students when requested.
Cost and Insurance
CRIS does not accept insurance, but we strive to keep our services affordable. Fees vary depending on the type of service. For example, voluntary individual counseling sessions start at $15, and program fees may range up to $350 per month for mandated services that include therapy, testing, group sessions, and case management.
Financial assistance is available for students who qualify. If cost is a concern, we encourage you to reach out — we’re here to help you find a solution that works for you. Please contact us directly for more details about service fees and potential waivers.
